12/20/2023 0 Comments X3 terran conflict xtended 1.2 vs 2.0![]() ![]() Now we get to the fun part! Share the names of some of your ships! A few of my personal favorites include:ĮHC Complex Desires (self sufficient E-Cell complex)ĮHC Macrochip Plant 01 (massive self-sufficient microchip complex) If your name isn't cool, YOUR SHIP WILL BLOW UP. The name is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE SHIP. >"Jetstream" denotes the ship's personalized nickname. If this is the first of it's kind owned by the EHC, it is 001. >-R- denotes the sub variant of the ship, in this case Raider. Other races are denoted similiarly: Bo, Te, Tr, Sp, Pa, Xe, Kh, Ya, Pi, etc. >Ar denotes that the ship is of Argon origin. Our naming system allows the viewer to take in a large amount of information about a ship with just a quick glance! An example: The EHC ArM3-R-001 "Jetstream" The EHC Standardized Naming System is a hallmark of the streamlined efficiency that the EHC prides itself in utilizing. Though, always follow the mod's specific instructions.Alrighty folks, we here at the Event Horizon Company are all about swapping stories heard along the spacelanes! Today's EHC sponsored topic: Ship Names!ĭo you have a system for naming them or do you just pick random names? Did you even know that you can rename them? Do you prefer to not bother? This is standard practice when running mods, since you don't have to end up troubleshooting Steam issues for a mod you've just installed and may be unfamiliar with. So, set up an X3TC-Modded directory, somewhere, preferably outside of your "protected" Program folders, and copy the contents of the X3TC directory to it, then create a shortcut to the executable which you'll use to run the game. (Just runs through the launcher.) But, even then, it's probably advisable just to run it outside of Steam, since you may end up with savegame managing launchers and all that jazz. You can do this easily and even work it so the game runs through Steam as a "added" game. It's advisable to run X3TC outside of the Steam root folders if you're going to be modding the game. When you say "work with Steam", what do you mean? Do you mean that you want the Steam Launcher to launc the X3TC with the X-Tended mod or that you just want to play your Steam-purchased copy of X3TC while running the X-Tended mod? ![]() ![]() Originally posted by Preditorian:Im sick an tired of the boring gameplay of X:R, I want to come back to X3 but I want to try X-tended, and for the freaking life of me I can not get it working or find any recent info on getting it to work with steam. There's also the xtended forums if you can't get help on egosofts which is found at Informer's onedrive link is still up and running, in case you need the patch/hotfix, manual, or if you somehow got a version prior to 2.0 (the file on for example is 1.2) It's linked in the mod author's OP. If all else fails, you can try asking directly via the mod's forum posting Also this post contains the latest version, so if you didn't get it from here, make sure it's not an older version. If you've done all this and you're still having issue's, you're going to have to be a bit more specific as to what exactly is happening when you launch the game. If you do merely go to your games library, click on X3 and there will be a section to the right with dlc listed and untick it. After the patch, you'd then extract the hotfix into the same location.Īlso, make sure you don't have the official bonus pack installed, when you install the mod. If you did not change the default Steam installation, yours is likelyĬ:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\X3 Terran Conflictįor the patch for the mod, you extract the zip file into the same location. Xtended is installed via an installer, so the only thing you actually have to do is point it to the directory that X3:TC exe is in.Ĭ:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\X3 Terran Conflict ![]()
